Campus Ministry worked hard preparing for Lent which is next week. Ash Wednesday’s liturgy was on Thursday due to the snow day.
Campus Ministry is also discussing the retreats for seniors and juniors. Juniors and seniors have a choice of doing the overnight or the day retreat. The overnight retreat is a very grateful experience. Even though the cost of retreat is eighty dollars, the overnight retreat is worth the money. The senior and junior retreats are scheduled for next Friday, February 22nd.

Campus Ministry Seminar

Campus Ministry Seminar is a group of juniors or seniors who are willing to help out St. Scholastica Academy with service work or liturgies. These students meet during lunch mods because most students are involved in other school activities.
Campus Ministry is hard at work in preparation for Advent, the weeks leading up to Christmas. The seniors have decided that while it is nice to donate to Children's Hospital, since they get so many donations during this time, we have decided to donate to our neighbors. The senior Campus Ministry students have decided that it would be a great idea to send letters and gifts to some of the sisters in the monastery. We need interaction with the sisters who live next door to us because they are also the ones who keep this school running. So, to get to know these sisters better, their profiles are on the Campus Ministry board. We like for students to make these gifts and letters a little personal.
Also for the Advent season, junior Campus Ministry students decided to collect money for women who just joined the military. The donations provide a care package for one of these women for the holidays.
As you can see, Campus Ministry is very busy. But Campus Ministry students are having a great time and can't wait for other upcoming activities for the rest of the year.
